3 Super romantic gestures that will show your love you still care, even if you’ve been together a million years.
When you’ve been with your partner long enough to know the sound of him rattling the doorknob to get in versus anyone else on the planet, you know you’ve been together a while. The staleness that sort of sets in after a while doesn’t have to overtake your relationship, though. It doesn’t matter that you two get caught up in your day to day lives sometimes, all you need are some gestures to let your partner know that the romance in your relationship is still alive.
Write Each Other Notes
You might think that this one is extremely simple, and it is. But, often is the simplest of things that can mean the most. So, when you wake up in the morning and head off to work, leave your partner a little note saying something like ‘Have a good day. I love you’. Even something as simple as this is enough to make someone’s entire day. It will be nice for your partner to know that you were the last thing on their mind before they left for work this morning.
Or, if you aren’t seeing your partner a lot due to work commitments, or any other commitments, try leaving these notes for them to find: in their suitcase, tucked in a shoe, or even in their toiletry bag. It can be hard when you aren’t spending all the time you want with your partner, but these adorable little notes will be enough small romantic gestures to remind you both that you love each other, no matter what.
Getting New Rings
One thing that you might want to do is get new rings. This is something that a lot of couples do when they’ve been together for a long time. Not suggesting that you get rid of your original rings. But, it might be time to change up your wedding and engagement rings. You can take inspiration from celebrity engagement rings 2018 if you’re planning on upscaling your current one.
However, this is only something you should do if you both agree. Don’t go ahead and buy new rings without consulting your partner because this might not go down very well. Some people are super sentimental when it comes to things like this. So make sure this is a completely mutual decision.
Plan A Romantic Getaway
Life really can get in the way of romance, especially if you both work and have kiddos. Sometimes what you need is a romantic getaway, just the two of you, to spend some quality time together. If you don’t want to go too far away from your kids, then you can stay somewhere close(ish) just in case. But, you really should get some time in where there are no interruptions for filling sippy cups, refereeing the latest argument, or getting gum outta somebody’s hair. A romantic mini-vacay will do wonders for your marriage and hopefully will help reignite that feeling from when you fell in love all those years ago.
Sometimes date-nights once a month (or even weekly) just aren’t enough. What other romantic gestures do you use to you show your bae you still care?
